It is our desire that each time you come to Alabaster's you experience something wonderful... creative... beautiful. The practice of taking the time to sit and enjoy afternoon tea in a beautiful environment can be truly refreshing to your soul. We serve over 30 types of loose leaf tea from around the world and know how to steep your pot just right. We also custom blend our own signature brand; allow us to custom blend yours. All of our tea selections are available to take home and enjoy again. Come for a pot or a cup, lunch, a full tea or a snack, whatever your choice...come and enjoy.

In 2004, I was inspired to open a gallery where the emphasis was on healing, restoration and transformation of the individual and the community around us. After being a counselor for 15 years and having used art and prayer in my practice, I know the power visual imagery can have in one's life. Through much searching I found 935 E. High Street: a boarded up and fire-damaged house originally built by Henry Potts.
The house had remained unoccupied since a fire in 1994 and needed extensive repair. The building itself has become a testimony of the power of prayer and the beauty of restoration and transformation. The original moldings have been remilled and arches restored over the windows and doorways. The tables of the cafe are made from old doors from the upstairs. The moldings in the cafe are originally from the old Strawbridge and Clothier of Philadelphia. Gardens are continually being added; we remain a work in progress.
It is my desire that we would become a gathering place to build relationships and be inspired. Therefore, many can experience the positive aspects of art, creativity, beauty and rest from the hectic pace we usually live.
~Pamela (owner of Alabaster's Arts and Tea)

Our main Gallery will feature various artists and exhibits throughout the year. Many of our exhibitions will work in conjunction with other philanthropic organizations to benefit the community. Throughout the year we will offer various creative workshops, tea tastings, parties and some free educational seminars.
